Drummer Jay Davis steps into the bandleader role for the launch of his debut album Badtrad, joined by saxophonist James Allsopp, trumpeter Mike Soper and bassist Huw V Williams, all familiar faces at East Side Jazz Club. The compositions nod to jazz pioneers such as Sonny Rollins, Charles Mingus, Ornette Coleman and Don Cherry while keeping a distinct voice of their own, and the band has been praised for its collective improvisation. Doors from 8pm, music until 11pm. Tickets are £15.
