Saturday
Blackhorse Workshop Open Studios runs until 8pm today, with talks, tours, demonstrations, exhibitions and family activities, rounding off with an evening garden party. It's free.
Over at EXALE Brewing & Taproom, Chilli Fest carries on into the small hours, moving from a daytime chilli and hot sauce market into an evening Latin dance party. Free entry.
Families can still catch the afternoon sitting of Family Make Stuff Morning: Puppets at Blackhorse Workshop, 2pm to 4pm, where a parent or guardian and child build a moving wooden puppet together. It's £35 for the pair.
For a late one, The Kaye Hole – Hosted by Reuben Kaye brings a late-night queer comedy cabaret to Soho Theatre Walthamstow at 9pm, with drag, circus and burlesque acts backed by a live band. Tickets from £24.
Sunday
Start the day at the Guided Bird Walk, a guided walk around Walthamstow Wetlands to spot resident and migratory birds, from 10am.
At Big Penny Social, the Craft & Flea Market brings together independent Walthamstow makers, designers and vintage traders from 11am to 4pm. Entry is £3, with under-12s free.
As part of the London Open House Festival, Open House Festival: Engine House & Coppermill Tower Tours offers free guided tours of the historic Engine House and the Grade II listed Coppermill Tower at Walthamstow Wetlands, from 10.30am to 3.30pm, donations welcome.
Over at Walthamstow Trades Hall, Gaybourhood East hosts a queer family social with a book reading from author Jodie Lancet-Grant, presenting her latest LGBTQ+ inclusive children's book, from 1pm to 3pm.
And at Soho Theatre Walthamstow, Marina Hyde: What a Time to Be Alive! sees the columnist and podcaster bring her irreverent take on politics and pop culture to the stage, marking the launch of her new book. That's from 2.30pm, tickets from £34.
