Blackhorse Workshop Open Studios

For one day, Blackhorse Workshop throws open its maker studios, workshop and forge for a free, drop-in Open Studios festival. Visitors can explore the working spaces of resident makers across furniture, fashion, interiors and sculpture, join guided tours of the machine shop and forge, and watch live blacksmithing demonstrations. The day also includes the Responders Exhibition showcasing work by young creative activists, an artist residency open day with painter Nicola Morrison, sound and installation pieces, family puppet-making sessions, and drop-in creative activities with Blackhorse's Activators. Celebrations continue into the evening with the Wildside Garden Party, a community gathering run with Nomadic Gardens and Community Sauna Baths on a reclaimed local site. All activities are free and mostly drop-in, though advance sign-up for individual sessions is encouraged so organisers can gauge numbers.
