Gaybourhood East

Gaybourhood East, a friendly social space for queer families with children of all ages run by volunteer queer parents, returns after the summer break with a book reading hosted by author Jodie Lancet-Grant. Jodie, a queer parent herself, writes LGBTQ+ inclusive books for families and will present her latest title, 'The Glamorous Grandmas'. She previously wrote 'The Pirate Mums', the first book featuring a two-mum family broadcast as a CBeebies bedtime story, and has spoken about queer representation in children's culture on BBC Radio 2 and Newsround. The session in the Upstairs Bar suits families with young children.
