This Sunday course (10am-4:30pm, £130) is fully booked with a waiting list available. It gives a Level 1 health & safety induction covering safe use of the bandsaw, chopsaw, pillar drill and disc/bobbin sander, alongside guidance on hardwood types and timber selection, as participants design and make a personalised chopping board. Completing the induction lets attendees book workbenches at Blackhorse Workshop afterwards. Had spaces been available, dress requirements would include sturdy shoes/boots (no trainers), no shorts, and natural fibres only. The course runs in Studio 2, which has no step-free access and involves three flights of stairs.
