Tutor Nina Ołtarzewska, a former Blackhorse Workshop maker-in-residence, leads TIG and MIG welding through technical guidance, exercises, experimentation and play in a "safe, fun and encouraging environment." Priority is given to those who identify as women, transgender, non-binary and genderqueer, part of an ongoing collaboration with Anna Zimmermann's Feminist Welding Club, which supports makers facing barriers in male-dominated crafts. Sturdy shoes/boots are mandatory; no trainers, shorts or synthetic fabrics for metalwork. Studio 2 has no step-free access and three flights of stairs; a hearing loop is available. This session is fully booked, with a waiting list available.
