A single-day woodworking course covering safe use of the bandsaw, chopsaw, pillar drill and disc/bobbin sander while making a personalised kitchen chopping board. After a safety talk and guidance on selecting hardwood from the on-site timber store, participants design and build their board with tutor support, taking the finished piece home. The course includes a Level 1 Workshop Induction, which unlocks future bench bookings at Blackhorse Workshop. Suits complete beginners. Wear sturdy footwear; not recommended for those with respiratory conditions or who are pregnant. Runs 10am–4:30pm (6.5 hours). Refunds available up to one week before the course.
