A coffee bean is the seed of the espresso plant. They are seeds yet they are normally referred as beans due to their resemblance in appearance. Beans consist primarily of endosperm which contains 0.8 - 2.5 % high levels of caffeine, which is just one of the major factors the plants are grown.
