The museum is centred on a Grade II listed Victorian pumping station, with its original Marshall steam engines and other small engines and pumps. Its collections include firefighting equipment from Victorian horse-drawn pumps to a Dennis fire engine used in television dramas, as well as original Victoria Line carriages. A model railway recreates the Liverpool to Chingford line across several periods.
