Friday night
Introducing Daniel Thaly: The Forgotten Poet of Dominica marks the first English translation of the Dominican poet's work with an online talk and readings in French and English at the William Morris Gallery. It runs from 6.30pm to 8.30pm and is free.
Over at Soho Theatre Walthamstow, Neon Nights September With Bridget Christie brings a mixed stand-up showcase headlined by Bridget Christie, with a rotating lineup of other acts alongside her. It starts at 8pm and runs to just after 10pm, tickets £20.50–£25.50.
For something with more sparkle, Jolene: A Celebration of the Music of Dolly Parton is a candlelit club night at Walthamstow Trades Hall mixing her biggest hits with country classics, from 8pm.
Saturday
Soho Theatre Walthamstow has comedy again on Saturday with Frankie Monroe: DEAD AND ALIVE!!!!, two back-to-back award-winning shows in one evening, 8pm to 9.40pm, £23.50 (£19.60 for members).
For live music, Parallel Blondes – the Blondie band recreates Blondie's full six-piece line-up and new wave energy at Walthamstow Trades Hall, from 8pm.
Sunday
Start the day at the Walthamstow Farmers Market in Walthamstow Town Square, open from 10am to 2pm.
For families, Wonderful Wildlife Weekends at Walthamstow Wetlands is a free drop-in session exploring pond life and minibeasts, from 1pm to 3pm, donations welcome.
Even younger visitors are catered for at the Baby Gospel Family Concert at Big Penny Social, a baby-friendly 45-minute gospel and Motown set from CK Gospel Choir welcoming everyone from newborns to grandparents. It runs 11am to 11.45am, from £14.50, and booking is essential.
And for something to browse, the YES! Art Fair 2026 fills Big Penny Social from midday to 6pm, a one-day East London art fair where visitors can meet artists, see work in progress and buy directly, with artists keeping all sales. Entry is from £3.
