Participants learn to safely operate the bandsaw, chopsaw, pillar drill and sander while making a personalised chopping board. After a talk on hardwood types, attendees select timber, design their board, then build it with tutor guidance and take it home. Includes a Level 1 Health & Safety induction, unlocking future bench bookings. Wear sturdy closed-toe boots and cotton/wool/leather clothing (no synthetics). Runs 10am–4:30pm (6.5 hours). Studio 2 has no step-free access and three flights of stairs; a hearing loop is available.
