This repeat Sunday blacksmithing course (10am-5pm, £195) is sold out with a waiting list available. It teaches traditional forging techniques - tapering, flattening, hot punching, drifting a hole, twisting and hot stamping - used to craft a personalised bottle opener and decorative items, finished with hot wax sealing. It includes a forge induction that enables future independent forge bookings. The course notes that blacksmithing is physically demanding and recommends participants be reasonably fit. No trainers or shorts are permitted; sturdy shoes/boots and jeans are recommended. The session runs for about seven hours.
