Walthamstow Chess Club meets every Monday evening at Big Penny Social for casual games open to players of any ability, with sets, boards and clocks supplied by the club. There's no membership or advance fee required to take part, and the relaxed format suits both complete beginners and more experienced players looking for a regular game. Entry is free; players are asked to book ahead via the Walthamstow Chess Club website so organisers know numbers.
