Opened in 2012 as Waltham Forest’s first free school, Emmanuel Community School is a mixed Christian school for children aged four to 11. Its Christian ethos is intended to support pupils of all faiths and none, and teaching follows the CUSP curriculum, a knowledge-led framework used across subjects including reading, science, history and art. Alongside the school day, it offers breakfast and after-school clubs, Friday Stay and Play sessions for children aged 0 to 4, and coffee mornings for families learning English.
