The Waltham Forest Feel Good Centre has been named London's Regional Public Club/Centre of the Year at the ukactive Awards 2026. It is the second time the centre has won the title.
The ceremony took place on Thursday 8 October at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham, where the centre was up against five other finalists. The win comes as the centre celebrates its tenth anniversary.
Danait Tsegaye, the centre's general manager, said: "Winning the Regional Public Club/Centre of the Year award for London for a second time is a fantastic achievement for our entire team."
"The whole team works incredibly hard to provide a welcoming environment and deliver great experiences for our members," she added.
The centre offers gym and fitness facilities, swimming pools and group exercise classes, and aims to help residents improve their fitness and make physical activity part of their daily routine.
Tsegaye was clear that the recognition is shared. She said the "award belongs to everyone who has helped make the Waltham Forest Feel Good Centre such an important part of the borough", thanking members, the local community, operator GLL and Waltham Forest Council.
