A West African restaurant with a loyal local following has reopened its doors in Leyton after a year of refurbishment.

Tasty African Food, at 272 Church Road, E10, is welcoming customers back into a refreshed dining room. The family-run business started in London in 2000 and now runs more than 20 branches across the UK.

The menu takes in jollof rice, ayamase, suya, puff puff, moi moi, and a range of soups and stews.

Simi Olaleye, the company's chief financial officer, said: "We are so excited to be back in Leyton. We know how much love there is for Tasty African Food in the local community, and reopening this branch was incredibly important to us."

The Leyton branch is open for dining in, takeaway and delivery. More details are at tastyafricanfood.com, or on social media at @TastyAfricanFood.
