The Leyton Arts Festival is back, running from Saturday 5 September until Sunday 13 September.
For nine days, artists, performers, makers, local organisations, independent businesses and residents will come together for a Leyton-wide celebration of creativity.
The festival is free and open to everyone, with the aim of making art accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds. Organisers say to "expect a lively mix of exhibitions, live music, film screenings, workshops, talks, open studios, family activities and performances taking place across Leyton."
It is organised by the Leyton Midland Collective, which aims to champion local talent, support creatives and strengthen community connections. Its mission is to keep art open, inclusive and part of everyday life.
From two days to nine
The collective ran the first Leyton Arts Festival in 2025, a free two-day celebration of local creativity, talent and community spirit. It took place in cafes, bars and outdoor spaces around Leyton Midland station, centred on the crossroads of Leyton High Road and the arches of Tilbury Road and Midland Road.
More than 3,000 people came along to that first festival, which involved 22 venues and 60 artists, including musicians, performers, creative workshops and exhibitions.
This year it returns on a "bigger scale".
