Waltham Forest Council wants to hear what residents hope for the borough's future, and it is inviting people to take part in four Neighbourhood Assemblies across the borough this month.
The assemblies are part of Future Waltham Forest, which the council describes as "our borough-wide conversation bringing together residents, community groups, businesses, young people and local partners to help shape a shared vision for the future of the borough."
The council says the aim is to "listen to people's hopes, ideas and ambitions for Waltham Forest and understand what matters most to those who live, work, and study here." What people say will help the council identify the priorities and big decisions it needs to make about the future, inform its Borough Plan, and create a long-term vision for Waltham Forest.
Where and when
Each assembly runs from 7pm to 9pm, and you can arrive from 6pm.
- Leytonstone: Tuesday 15 September at Buxton School, 234 Cann Hall Road, E11 3NN. Registration for this assembly has closed.
- Leyton: Tuesday 22 September at The Great Hall, 1A Adelaide Road, E10 5NN. Register by 5pm on Monday 14 September.
- Walthamstow: Thursday 24 September at Walthamstow Library, High Street, E17 7JN. Register by 5pm on Tuesday 15 September.
- Chingford: Wednesday 30 September at Ryan Hall, St Edmund's Church, Larkswood Road, E4 9DS. Register by 5pm on Tuesday 22 September.
How to take part
You can register your interest through the online form linked from the council's Future Waltham Forest news page. The council says that if you are chosen to take part, you will receive £30 as an incentive after attending.
