An elderly man was taken to hospital on Tuesday morning after being struck by a route 275 bus at Walthamstow Bus Station.
Emergency services were called at around 10am on 22 September. Advanced paramedics from the London Ambulance Service treated the man at the scene before taking him to a major trauma centre as a priority.
The London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 10:06am today (22nd September) to reports of a road traffic collision at Walthamstow Bus Station, Selborne Road, E17. We sent an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car and an advanced paramedic. We treated a patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority."
The bus was operated by Stagecoach.
Rosie Trew, Transport for London's head of bus service delivery, said: "We care deeply about the safety of everyone who uses our transport network and our thoughts are with the person who was injured following a collision with a route 275 bus at Walthamstow bus station."
She added: "We're urgently investigating alongside the operator, Stagecoach, and the police to find out what happened and we have support for anyone affected by this incident."
The collision comes as TfL faces a health and safety prosecution connected to the same bus station. In December 2023, Grace Mecaley, a 74-year-old retired nurse, was fatally struck there by a route 212 bus. Permanent pedestrian crossings were installed on the northern and western sides of the station in December 2024, following her death.
