A W19 bus crashed into a tech and mobile phone repair shop on Markhouse Road on Monday morning (19 October) after colliding with a car.
The collision happened at around 7.30am. The road was closed for more than an hour while emergency services were at the scene.
No injuries were reported. Paramedics assessed one person at the scene, who was then discharged.
The London Ambulance Service said it was called at 7.40am and sent an ambulance crew and members of its hazardous area response team.
A Transport for London spokesperson said: "There was a collision involving a car and a bus today in Waltham Forest where the bus then made contact with a nearby shop. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries."
Damage to the shop
The crash damaged the shop's wall and signage. The owner, Nads, told the Waltham Forest Echo: "I can't enter the shop because the shutters won't open fully; from what I've seen of the inside there are shelves full of laptops and tech on the floor."
Nads said they believed the crash happened when "the driver of the car involved in the crash attempted to overtake the bus" as the bus turned from Markhouse Road into Markhouse Avenue.
Markhouse Road had fully reopened by 10am. Stagecoach and Transport for London are both investigating what caused the crash.
