Led by Sean Rodrigo of the Fixatorium, this workshop teaches professional furniture restoration skills: wood repair, upcycling techniques, finishing methods, tool handling and sustainable renovation practice. Participants work on real furniture pieces donated by the Salvation Army, using tools and materials provided on site, and the restored pieces go back to support the Salvation Army's community programmes. It's a small-group session with hands-on demonstrations, suited to ages 16 and over with no prior experience required (younger participants need an accompanying adult). Attendees should wear practical work clothes. Refunds are available up to seven days before the event.
