Performance collective Figs in Wigs give Louisa May Alcott's classic novel an irreverent, cartoon-like reworking, described by critics as 'revelling in brazen, absurdist satire' with little respect for the source material. Alongside the comedy, the show touches on climate change and existential questions. It runs 120 minutes with a 16+ recommendation and includes a BSL-interpreted performance. Expect experimental theatre rather than a straightforward adaptation.
