Local historian Kirstin Sibley has spent over 18 years researching the Warner Estate, a landmark part of the Walthamstow and Leyton landscape, after being inspired by the history of her own Warner flat. Her talk covers why and when the estate was built, how many dwellings it contained, who lived there and what the original interiors looked like, drawing on research into the Warner Estate archive, two exhibitions and conversations with residents.
