Put a bath towel powering your back. Your back discomfort could be triggered, or at a minimum exacerbated, by bad pose. If you find that you might be sitting down for long periods of time, consider rolling up a bath towel. Place this behind the small of your own rear while you are sitting. It might boost posture and alleviate back discomfort.
